Hoover Dam.

I think sometimes that as locals we sort of take for granted all of the more "touristy" attractions around us. It definitely took a visitor coming to see me before I made it out to see this. And it's epic.

These photos were taken at a NASCAR Truck Series Race last September at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The Car Graveyard (or lack thereof).

Someone I know was aware of this place where people pushed their old cars off of a cliff. Naturally, that sounded AWESOME, so we went out there...only to find that the place had been turned into a little wildlife preserve thing with minitrails. Cool...but definitely not as cool as cars pushed off of a cliff. Regardless, took a few pics there.

Then we got in the hot tub...look familiar? Used my camera this time, though...can you tell if there's a difference? The lighting was exactly the same.

These pictures were taken at the hot tub last night. Considering the fact that the camera wasn't mine and the lens was wonky, I think the fact that at least a couple of them came out okay is an accomplishment.

Yes, I used my flash on these. Yes, it was that dark. No, I'm not impressed with these pictures. This pretty much reinforced my preference for natural lighting. But oh well, it was a learning experience.
