Hoover Dam.

I think sometimes that as locals we sort of take for granted all of the more "touristy" attractions around us. It definitely took a visitor coming to see me before I made it out to see this. And it's epic.

She's so sweet.

Herbie.

Because his head is shaped like a VW bug.

I love this dog.

NASCAR

These photos were taken over 2 years ago with a point and shoot. They weren't taken with any specific intent, but they mean something to me.

Nelson, NV

Photos taken in Nelson, NV. Some of these were taken with art in mind, and some were taken just for me.

Truck Race

I'm really not sure why these never made it up...
These photos were taken at a NASCAR Truck Series Race last September at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The Car Graveyard (or lack thereof).

Someone I know was aware of this place where people pushed their old cars off of a cliff. Naturally, that sounded AWESOME, so we went out there...only to find that the place had been turned into a little wildlife preserve thing with minitrails. Cool...but definitely not as cool as cars pushed off of a cliff. Regardless, took a few pics there.

Then we got in the hot tub...look familiar? Used my camera this time, though...can you tell if there's a difference? The lighting was exactly the same.

Post 2: Pool

These pictures were taken at the hot tub last night. Considering the fact that the camera wasn't mine and the lens was wonky, I think the fact that at least a couple of them came out okay is an accomplishment.

Post 1: Sheep

Yesterday Daniel and I went to Hemenway Park in Boulder City. Pictures:

There were some people who made a giant slip-n-slide on the hill and it looked AWESOME! I'm totally doing this someday.

Ducks.

Yes, I used my flash on these. Yes, it was that dark. No, I'm not impressed with these pictures. This pretty much reinforced my preference for natural lighting. But oh well, it was a learning experience.

"What was that? I couldn't hear you."

This is Duck Tai Chi, in case you were wondering.

Pinwheels for Prevention

This is a child abuse prevention awareness fundraiser. People buy pinwheels and they get put out on the oval. I left early for class this morning so I could take pictures on the way.

& Just because they were pretty:
